The latest SRW game is Super Robot Wars Neo for the Nintendo Wii. Out of the new series introduced, Iron Leaguer and Ryu Knight are very worthy series. I’ve also watched Liger (Rygar). Liger was introduced during a period where there was a dearth of any good mecha anime so I was kind of pissed. Surprising to see it in the SRW lineup. What friggen mecha has hair? I guess being bionic passes.

Here’s a music video from the Macross Movie Do You Remember Love. Great animation is great animation no matter how old it is. The fight scenes may not be as cool as they are now but they still hold up today in my opinion. Too much CG just turns into eye candy and no matter how nice it is, bad story telling and plots will always make most anime just poor to average and not great.
